What do you mean you removed some hoses? Just removed them and blocked off the openings they were attached to? Post pictures!

Just asking for an update.

Is everything still working normal without any problems after installing the Madness Maxpower ECU?
Any software errors? any mechanical damages? oil burning/consumption etc etc?

Any significant decrease in mpg in the long run?

All in all, what is your opinion/experience after using and testing the madness ECU in everyday driving after so many months?

Jeep Renegade Alpine White Limited edition FWD, 1.4L turbo, 140hp, 23,5kgms Torque, 6 speed manual transmission.
Extras: Electrical Glass Sunroof (Dual Pane), 18" wheels, keyless entry.

Hello, and Happy New Year to you as well!

I have had exactly ZERO trouble out of the ECU and still get over 31mpg hwy and 25mpg mixed.

Actually, there is ONE issue. The couple times I've had to take the Rene in for service and pulled the Maxpower out and put the bypass plug in, I was miserable. After driving with the ECU (and it's benefits) for so long, it feels like dragging a boat anchor behind the Rene when it's not there.

Many thanx for your kind reply. I am almost convinced in buying the ECM. I am just waiting for my 2 year warranty to end.
I really hope that up until then, Madness Autoworks would have opened a European branch. I could order it from the US but the huge custom tax is a deal breaker.

And here's just a quick shot of where I decided to mount the Ultragauge
This may have been asked, but I kind of just skimmed through this thread...but your E-ZPass is picked up in that location? Think that's where I'll put mine!

I actually keep my EZpass in the glove box and it gets picked up just fine... Though I seriously just tempted fate with that statement so...
I haven't really poked around the rear view mirror much, but I'm glad to see you were able to get that weird plastic box off the windshield. When it gets warmer out I'll try and wrestle the thing off, and finally mount my EZpass...

All this Madness ECU talk has me SERIOUSLY considering purchasing one (along with the diverter valve). I've chipped every one of my previously owned VWs (two GTIs and a Bug) and, boy did it make a huge difference. And better gas milage to boot!

FYI, I know a guy who works for EZpass, it will be picked up where ever you put it in the car. He said the only way to block it is to wrap it in aluminum foil.

Hey!
E-mail Madness Autoworks and ask them who their "International Performance Tuning Partners" are. If I remember reading a little while ago one either a dodge dart or fiat forum, Madness's partner company sells the same thing or something similar in Europe. I think it is like TMC Motorsports or something like that.

Hey, I followed that same hose to the charge side and capped it off. This is the same hose, it enters between the throttle and the boost sensor? After a quick trip, I checked and the cap was not there. I had my wife give the jeep some throttle and put my hand over the hole; it actually pushes air OUT of the hose; It does not suck air into it. Makes sense i guess since there is positive pressure after the turbo. Don't know what the purpose behind that is. Think it has something to do with the other hose it is connected to. They share a common junction before going into the air box.
