That what is possible? All that tells you is you can lift it and have it sit in the parking lot for a picture and presumably at least be pushed into position for a photo op. It tells you nothing about functionally drivable.

 

The concept looks pretty cool. Tires and other accessories make it look much more burly.

I think the graphic on the side is pretty ugly though. They shouldn't have put that on there.

Did some translating and the description says it's lifted 1.5 inches

 

I'm thinking those tires would lift the ground clearance 1 1/2 inches by themselves.

 

Longer springs/shocks? (would be the opposite of the ghetto rice kids with cut springs)

Otherwise where did they get the 1.5 inch lift from, theres no one currently producing those parts as far as i know...

The difference of tire diameter:

215/60 17" d= 69 cm
245/70 17" d=77,5 cm

Difference = 8, 5 cm
Half of this is about 4.75 cm this is what the Axle of the Wheel moves up ... that´s 1.87 inches Lift ... :x:|

I think it's possible that Jeep might produce it's own list of other sizes it recommends you use if you want to go off of what the vehicle originally came with.

 

So it' an overall 2 inch lift when compared to the non-Trailhawk version?
I really hope someone is able to make a lift kit for the trailhawk and soon.

 

Yeah, they better get on it, can't be driving around in our non-existant vehicles with no lift.... wait a second...

I know people want the answer to this as much as to what it will cost and when it can be purchased, but I think a reality check is in order.

 

I'm just surprised that it doesn't seem as if Jeep is trying to push that angle of getting people into the customization mindset with this.

Unless that is something they plan for with say... a Scion Tuner Challenge sort of thing where top Jeep tuners or those that prove themselves worthy get to take part in a Renegade tuning challenge, with free renegades

 

If you can get one at a reasonable price and bet the trailhawk lift, I'd say the engineers already did all the endorsement of it they can in a world with warranties, lawyer, etc. They also seem to be getting into the hands of certain shops ahead of even US journalists, which is also nothing to sneeze at.

Nope, it looks custom fabricated to fit the way it does/did. Which is what I suspect was done given when it appeared.
