The washer fluid that came in our Renegade was very strong smelling as has been mentioned. The fluid we use now is not as strong smelling but every now and then you can smell it. Our Ford Focus was the same way, some times you smelled, sometimes you didn't.

Me neither, but that's not because of the renegade design, it's because of whatever fluid they were using is pungent. Most cars have the fresh air intakes in the same spots, and you will smell what gets into them if it smells strong enough. When you run through what came with the car and put in your run of the mill wiper juice, it'll go away.

My Jeep had a very heavy smell from the washer fluid when we first got the vehicle. Girlfriend couldn't stand it. :\
I thought it was no big deal tho!

I reckon it depends on which fluid you use as the motor we had before the Renegade stank, but we have not noticed it in the Renny.

I was thinking the same thing about the cabin air intake. Pretty sure it's in the same place on other vehicles that I own.

Mine was really strong when I first got my Jeep and when I went to refill it I noticed that the cap to the windshield fluid container was open. I attributed the strong smell to that but perhaps it is just what everyone else has stated that the fluid is different from the stuff we buy in the stores. If you haven't checked your cap, I would.
