"New Car" smell

Hello, I'm new to the forums here but I figured this is the best place to ask.

I purchased my '16 jeep renegade (Jungle Green) about 6 months ago and I have always been getting a smell with my AC like it hasn't been used before/in a while. Just wondering if any else have had this issue.

Thanks

The quick-fix for a mildew smell is to take the car on a good run then whack the temperature to max and the fan
on full with the windows open for 5-10 minutes.

Also check the state of the cabin filter.

If it's a chemical smell then I'd get it in to the dealer to have it checked out.

Hi Juan Rivera,

Sorry to hear about this! If you decide to visit your local dealership for further diagnosis I'd be happy to offer further assistance if needed. Just PM our page with your VIN and let me know.
