She just called me back and said it looks like my Jeep is in phase 3 of the 5 step process. I am guessing this is D1. She said they will monitor closely and let me know if anything changes.

Pasted from another post on this fourm:

Edit2: ah, here's an article that sort of explains why --> http://www.automotivelogisticsmagazi...-europe-and-us

Explains what might be happening with some of the shipping.... It's great that they are looking at ways to expedite shipping which will really be helpful as they produce more & more vehicles. I was amazing that a carrier can hold 25,000 vehicles.... blew my lil pee brain mind!

So I take it that cars shipped from Melfi go to Baltimore on the east coast and from there get to the west coast by truck, train or by another boat from Baltimore via the Panama Canal? Anyone Know?

They go by ship via Panama Canal to the west coast & think it takes about another week. I have about 7-8 ships I'm tracking to see what they end up doing. They do make other stops along the way...

This might provide some additional insight -> https://www.portofsandiego.org/marit...tomobiles.html

Thing is, the article mentions use of NYK Lines to bring Fiat to San Diego, but I don't see that NYK has a route there directly from Antwerp for ro-ro -> http://www.nykroro.com/customer/trad...ld-rtw-service
