Jeep Renegade USA Pricing Thread...

While having no concrete information I thought we could have a little fun with numbers and start trying to figure out just where exactly the entry level renegade is going to be positioned in the market.

For one, Jeep Patriot starts at $15,995 USD. Jeep advertises the Patriot as Americas Best Priced SUV on their website, its unlikely Jeep wants to give up that bit of marketing glory so I don't expect Renegade to stray too far from that.

However, the Renegade kind of gets two birds stoned at once, replacing the Compass and Patriot. Compass is priced at $18,595 USD. So I suppose if you took the average of Patriot and Compass US pricing it would be a fair place to start assuming Renegade will come in. How does $17,292 USD sound?

That's about where I think it will fall.

My guess 17 to 18k base to 28-30k Trailhawk loaded.

I think this is the sweet spot for the model to be successful.

Since the Patriot is being discontinued, why not have the Renegade take its spot as the 'Best Priced SUV'?

Is the US only get a 4x4 version? Because the price for the Patriot is the 4x2 with the 2.0L engine.

of what, Renegade? Are you sure...

Renegade will be available in the U.S. with one of two engines: a 1.4-liter turbo four, shared with the Fiat Abarth, that makes 160 hp, or 2.4-liter I-4 generating 184 hp. The turbo mates only to a six-speed manual, the 2.4 to a segment-exclusive nine-speed automatic. Each drivetrain is available with front- or four-wheel drive.

I don't know if Jeep really wants to miss that piece of the market.

The only drive wheel drive version that I've read about is with a small diesel engine (1.6l, I believe) and since the US is not getting diesel engines versions of the Renegade, well....

Remember though, there is a lot of conflicting info plus, facts seem to be changing/updating daily like the fact that the US was getting a diesel version.

Yea thats more than likely the range, especially when you consider that the Trailhawk Cherokee clocks in at $29,495 and Limited $29,995. $25K is a good top end because there is minimal overlap with cherokee, will it will eclipse the sport at $24.9K but for the kit you'll receive in TH or Limited, it would be a downgrade to Cherokee Sport...
