Question Keyless Fob Panic Alarm

Now the brochure says with "passive entry/keyless go" comes a key fob with a panic alarm. Granted I am a bit of a "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" fan and I don't have an immediate need to panic but does anyone know how to activate this should the occasion suggest it might be required?

To activate the panic alarm just press the panic button. The horn/alarm will begin beeping until
it's turned off by pressing the panic button. I hear them requently in parking lots when someone
accidently pushes the button, in fact it's happened to me.

As flash75 said, it's pretty self-explanatory.

I wish I could permanently disable mine. It went off accidentally while the fob was in my pocket and it seemed like an eternity before I could stop the annoying horn beeps.

Thanks for the replies and I agree it would be self explanatory if my key fob looked like Savante21's and had a button labelled PANIC . Mine is a tad minimalstic having just three buttons, unlock, lock and rear open - plus the slider to release the emergency key.

Maybe yelling loudly is sufficient and less of an annoyance

That's odd. Do you not have the remote start functionality?

Same here - I've set mine off by accident several times already

Yes standard UK brochure Syzygy. Two intact one from Jeep direct and one from a dealer. I get a feeling that what Jeep say isn't necessarily what you get. For example in my opinion when I ordered a regular size spare wheel I didn't expect to get a space saver. If a space saver is regular what is an irregular wheel - square? Anyway that issue was solved amicably with a small refund but the brochure clearly says panic alarm. Not so sure about any remote start option Savante21 but I'm not sure I'd want to risk it going off unexpectedly?

Mind you still love the car. Minor irritations really and a bit of a puzzle. There are 3 soft buttons on the key fob I may yet find a quiet spot and test them.
