OK, what do you think of the Ft-4x?

http://truckyeah.jalopnik.com/i-woul...t-t-1794261825

Or

https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/t...ng-and-a-miss/

if you want more/different pictures.

So we all gave our $0.02 on the kia trailster concept. Howabout the toyota-ft-4x?

It's clearly targeting the market that would buy a renegade, aka.. us.

I kind of dig it as a whole. Once they get more realistic and strip off all the stupid concept lifestyle accessory silliness it might not actually be bad.

Toyota being toyota, the QC will probably be less drama/adventure inducing and fiel economy might actually be somewhere near the claims.

It's alright, it just well, to me it feels like a cartoon version of the Renegade. The renegade is boxy, but it's still got nice lines, curves, that kind of thing. The FT-4x has a lot of thick chunky angular plastic, that I just don't care for. The rear side 'window?' thing, really doesn't work for me. The idea is nice though, the concept looks more agressive than the production Renegades for sure.

I also love that they went after the Trailhawk with the red tow points. That's just kind of funny to me.

Overall, it would be interesting to see this concept change into a production vehicle. The Renegade looks nothing like the concepts that were shown. Those were almost like a kind of alien dune buggy:

Also, speaking of concepts, I'd love to get my hands on a Renegade based Comanche

Has too much of a high tech-y look for me like it's trying too hard. That said though I will be interested to see how it turns out when it goes into production. Could be pretty cool.

I don't like the styling at all. I think that the Renegade nailed the small SUV styling perfectly (which is why I purchased one).

A lot of borrowed DNA from the Renegade went into this development. Too obvious.

I just Googled it. Also pretty cool. Like they borrowed an old Ford Bronco and Wrangler and mashed em up.
