Why I just bought my 2016 Trailhawk Lease

I was thinking of upgrading to a 2019 Trailhawk and after test drive decided I liked mine better. The LED lights and uconnect was nice, but as for the 1.3 turbo. It was just to screaming for me. Had a nice long test drive and it's was just way to loud for my taste when getting up hills and at higher rpm's.

Maybe Jeep will change the configurations and allow you to pick the 2.4 in the Trailhawk, but as of now you can only get the 1.3.

I really didn't feel that much more powerful then the 2.4 I have now.

In my opinion Jeep should have gone the other way with the Trailhawk and gave it nice small V6.

I'm not liking these small turbo engines. They just are to loud.

Hey Pennsatuckey.
I have the 2.4L, smallest engine I've ever had, except for my '67 Beetle and my lawnmower.
Can't imagine the ruckus a 1.3L turbo would make coming up the hill to my house..

The interstate climbs about 1000' in elevation over a distance of about 3 miles; that gets you to my exit, half way up the hill.

Doesn't sound like much, but trucks crawl up the hill, tourists towing trailers often overheat, etc.
Runaway truck ramp on the downhill side.

I think it's a 6% grade.
(Denver is down around 5300' ASL, my house is 7400' ASL)

Our 1.4 manual is VERY quiet. My wife, my son and I have all stalled it numerous times as we can't hear the engine, especially when starting off. Obviously. lol.

I was curious about the 1.3, not necessarily in a good way.

Trailhawk, I like the v6 idea AND a manual transmission option.

There are bigger aftermarket turbos that can up the HP.
They do it on the ABARTHs to get more speed and power. Maybe it will be available for the firefly engine.
