I put some 16 viking snowtires on my jeep and went skiing. Needless to say that i didnt had to fit chains when the other cars had to. The Renny handled ice, snow mud and greek roads (including icy potholes) with ease using the 4x4 snow mode. And regarding the tire pressure sensors i had no problems at all, everything working clockwork. Lastly, the diesel engine started easily at -8 oC with a 50-60 km/h northern wind blowing and heated up nice and fast, defrosting windows and passengers alike.

I didn't bother with pressure sensors in the winter setup. The yellow light on the instrument cluster doesn't bother me. I know how to check my tires' air pressure.

I didn't purchase a 2nd set for the 16" wheels I put on with some Cooper AT3's either. No big deal.
I didn't even wait to try out the stock 18" tires in the snow. I knew they'd suck.

We got about 6" of snow last night here in Mid-Michigan. Had to take a run into town this morning, so I thought I'd play with my video camera along the way.

My Renegade is FWD and I spent the first half of the winter on mostly bald (below 2/32 but not bald bald) OEM all season tires and had no issues in Pittsburgh's winter this year. It's more about the driver than the accesories

Wish we had that option here in the States.
