First let me say thank you to @JeepCares they helped out and got me a new radiator fan assy and my Jeep has been fixed. Although I now have a different issue and still have no Jeep.
Part number of fan assy they installed is 68360299AA Fan Assy Radiator Cooling
Hopefully this one lasts more than 14000 miles.

10 days total. I guess needing the Renegade to go to/from dialysis made it a priority. As for what happened letís just say the Renegade was not returned in the same exterior condition I dropped it off in....

2017 Jeep Renegade Latitude

Hi-we bought our Renegade from Carvana with about 2k miles. Cooling fan motor burned out so we took to dealership. Dealer advised the part is on back order; that they are only being allocated 43/month; and that one would not be available to us for 18 months. Of course we can't keep the car parked for 18 months! But if we just repair then we void warranty. Has anyone else had this issue?

Hi tfishvt,

Your warranty does not get voided, but if you perform a DIY repair on the vehicle, the part itself would not be covered if it fails.

Please feel free to send me a private message with your VIN and dealership if you would like me to open a Customer Care case for you, and I can have a specialist reach out to see if there is anything further we can do to assist.

I know this thread is old but I'm sure there will be more posts pertaining to the fan and shroud assembly, or as Mopar calls it, the "fan module". My wife purchased a 2016 limited about 6 months ago. Only had 12 k on odometer. 2 weeks after we got it the fan started it's downward death spiral. It spent the next 6 weeks at the dealership. I suppose I'm lucky for only 6 weeks compared to some of you folks. Even that is unacceptable tho. We have it back and everything is fine but I have my doubts as to how much better the revised "modules" motor bearings really are than the old revision. On a side note, as I have saw it mentioned here, no one offers a aftermarket or performance fan and shroud package for our renegades. I can offer one. I am the production engineer at a radiator company. I won't mention the name of the company on here tho. Like was mentioned you can't remove the module without taking other components out as well. That being said I'm not taking all of that stuff out of my wife's car to get precise measurements on the assembly. But I'm offering, if anyone has a crap assembly that's out of the renegade I will pay for you to have it shipped to me so I can back engineer a better one. And a slimmer one. Meaning it will drop right in without having to remove anything. If anyone is interested just pm me. Thanks guys.

But wouldn't you still have to remove stuff to get the original unit out?

Previously: 2017, 1.4 petrol, 6 speed auto, FWD, Limited, Omaha Orange ...

Now gone electric.

Radiator cooling fan rattle and issue!

Im in NJ and my fan started to rattle. There is an issue and my dealer has had the car for just short of two months. THere is in fact and issue with the renegade with the radiator fan issue. They are working on a fix but you need to take it to your dealer as I was told by my consumer folks that it could break and cause a really irreplaceable issue.

Is there a build date for a '17 MY that does not have this issue?
