Thumbs down 1st and last Jeep !

So here we are 6 months after the finish of the vehicle Warranty on a vehicle with only 36k on the clock and I am now faced with a circa 1200 bill to replace the Multiair Unit because of a single solenoid that keeps sticking resulting in loss of power.

Jeep are not interested in any type of 'good will gesture' so I have to foot the entire bill.

Oh & this 'fault' appeared 4 days after the 36K Service at the dealership (as all services have been).

As per the title, 1st and LAST Jeep.

Get in contact with a motoring magazine and tell them your story.

FCA sometimes move when there's some bad publicity in the UK.

If not, go to an Alfa independent to get the work done.

Autolusso, Alfa Workshop to name but 2.
Checkout alfaowner.com for more advice.

Did you get hold of the manufacturer and asked them to look into it?

The dealership have made contact with them (twice they tell me), no joy.

Reading the Alfa forums other people with the same failure, part and vehicle age have had similar responses (not interested in helping) too.

That's a royal pain. As Nev says, try an independent, especially as it's out of warranty.
The question then is, do you keep the car for a while to get some value out of the cost of repair or get shot of it while it's working?

I'm planning to trade mine in before the warranty expires, even though it's not got many miles on it. It's a nice car, mostly, but ....

Sympathise, Peter. Know it doesn't help, but Ford are similarly hard-nosed with "just out of warranty" work.
Like Mike, will trade in just before the warranty expires and probably get another 'cos I gather Jeep is now doing 5-year warranties (at least in the UK)

5 years warranty (check the small print), 3 years servicing and 5 years breakdown cover. This reflects their struggles to find new customers.
