Hood lift sytem

Just curious if any one has ditched the prop rod for a lift system with shocks? I did the same thing on a Trailblazer I use to own, and checked out the company I used then, but they don't make a kit for the Renegades. Found this on ebay and wondered if anyone had tried it?

Just be aware that supporting the weight at the back instead of the front, and with some designs the upthrust of the spring system when closed, can result in the hood bowing up a little and thus not sitting flush with the fenders.
I don't know if it is a problem with Renegades but it certainly has been on some other cars.

2017, 1.4 petrol, 6 speed auto, FWD, Limited, Omaha Orange ...
