how about just some cool looking slots on the bottom for drainage? Maybe like an asymmetrical pattern? The star is very open, a pointed rock could go right up in the star and catch on the plate and rip it off, or even damage the driveshaft.

You can indeed trademark a number. Just go ask boeing about making your own 747, 777, etc.

I just doubt jeep owns one on 1941.

Peugeot have the rights to all the 0s in their three digit model numbers. 104, 206, 207, 304, 604 etc. Porsche wanted to call the 911 the 901 but as Peugeot had the rights to 901, Porsche used 911 instead.

[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]Enjoying my Renegade Longitude 1.4 turbo. Order one, you know you want to.....

That's not the same context as this situation... Regardless, I'm not worried about the 1941...

"Nine Eleven" sounds way better than "Nine oh one" anyway, LOL

I've already got 13 or more people interested.

Here are the updated pictures of the design.
Also interested. Dunno if I like the star cut-out in the middle. Seems like those sharp points in the center might make for a good spot for just the right-shaped obstacle to hang you up.

The photos of your previous build, with the renegade X on the bottom - that looked less likely to snag something.

Still interested tho,

I gave into the pressure and am going with the renegade "x" logo. This isn't the exact model ("1941" font is different in this photo, the real font is the one pictured in a previous post) but it displays the overall look.

I just did a double count and we've got over 20 people on FB and I've got more interest on some forums which means the cost is $100 + shipping!

What's left to do before ordering?
-I need to get a prototype of the design below (minor fitment changes from last one)

That's it! Our baby was due 5 days ago and may come any day now (inducing on the 22nd) so I've got a shop working on the prototype which means it may take a week for me to get to it. Once I get that approved I will take orders from all of you!

Good luck with the baby. Looks more functional. Price isn't bad.
