Mine is consistently high on days over 70 degrees F. Today it read 94 and the outside temperature was 81. I decided that the readings are just going to be wrong and that I won't bother with it.

Good read. Outside temp indicator on the Renegade is inaccurate with real outside temps. Sun beating down on the parked car reveals the inaccuracy once you get in and start the car. Jacked.

i get that but i have owned at least 4 other cars with temp and they were all accurate, even after sitting outside in sun. have to believe this is a software/location issue.

My temp sensor was reading 10-12 degrees lower than the actual temp and it was flashing --- then wouldn't display at all. I went in to the dealer and they had 11 updates, they were hoping that would have taken care of the problem. It didn't so they had to order a new outside mirror because the temp sensor isn't replaceable by itself. My appointment to go back in the shop is next wednesday. I will post after I get it back next week to let you know if that fixed the issue. One side note when the temp sensor was displaying the dashes my service engine light came on and threw 8 codes. Miss fire, catalyst, fuel, and a few more I can't remember.

I find the outside temp takes a few minutes to be accurate. It's been 65-70 here the last few days, but it's a black jeep and after it's sat in the sun it seems to think its 85 out. but after I drive it around with the windows down for 10+ minutes it figures it out

Iamstillvince,

I'm sorry to hear about your concern. Did you notice this right from purchase? Have you had a chance to speak to your Jeep dealer about it?
