Isn't the Trailhawk rated for 19 inches of water? Past that, I wouldn't risk it.

I am using just the croppy continentals it came with. LOL. And it still gets thru the mud!! And I am talking mud so deep it was scraping on the undercaraige.

I have blown 2 of the continentals on rocks on a flat graded road however. And no I was not driving like a teenager. The tires the renni comes with are just croppy in my opinion.I hope to replace them soon with a good tires. My tire dealership recommends Firestone, do you have any favorites?

And I am not happy that I had to buy a spare tire and jack, but after the first blown tire I did it. The Jeep dealership tried to sell me the dumb donut kit. I said for $500 I am getting a REAL tire. Had to go down the road, but got a real tire on a rim. Then went online and bought the jack and tire iron. I cant remember where i bought them, wish i did because the dealership told me which jack to get and it was the wrong one. The online auto parts place caught the dealership error and emailed me and asked me if I would rather have the proper jack for my renegade! LOL.
rsanges likes this.

Robinsonmac in other thread said it best:The Renegade is just not that vehicle & people insist on trying to make it into what it isn't just because the grill says "Jeep".

I read that report. They bitch about "Poor gas mileage?" They fawn all over Hondas, ALWAYS. Loved our Honda Element except we got 20-22mpg with the 4wd. And it was usually closer to 20. Our Renegade is 26-28 and that includes some REALLY bad roads.
I get 17 avg mpg if I drive it like a normal car and 19 avg mpg if I drive it like a grandma and try to coast as much as possible. Even if I just calculated freeway miles alone it's maybe 25 mpg on a good day.
