Wrong. High octane gasoline is useless unless the manufacturer calls for it. The Jeep renegade does not call for it. Exactly as @JimGoldenCO said.

I run 85 with no issues; for you people closer to sea level, that would be 87.
Why do so many people think using fuel that is more resistant to ignition is "better"?
It's not better cleaning, it's just more difficult to ignite.
Higher octane fuel is required in high-compression engines to prevent early ignition; knocking.
Because the cylinders are hotter in HC engines, you need fuel that is harder to ignite.
If you want to "clean" your fuel system, find a Top Tier gas station, and use that.

upnover mines does this but seems pretty normal , cold engines will run rough until warm and variable valve Timing is more prone to it , oil drains down and hydraulics bleed off so it takes a short bit to get pressure and everything sinked .

Hi Pete Gattuso,
We're glad that you plan to have your dealer look into this. Feel free to send us a private message if you have any questions or concerns while your Jeep is being serviced.

Is the shudder only on startup? Or does it continue while it idles? Sometimes, mine will shake more than normal while it sits there after I turn it on. Of course, the dealer claimed they couldn't replicate the issue.
