I put straight pipes on my rene. (removed muffler and resonator and added pipe) I personally like the sound but i get some mixed reactions on here. In person it makes the turbo sound so good, and sorta sounds like a diesel. Here is a video of me driving it, i just slapped a gopro on the bumper.

Do you have the "blow off plate" as well? Would you make another youtube video but with more aggressive revving and accelerating? I plan to do a similar exhaust setup to you since, after all this is the abarth engine!

SO you have the madness ECM, forge blow off plate, and a straight pipe from the cat back. Sweet setup. Is your exhaust mandrel bent?

Sounds pretty awesome! It's a hilariously small engine to sound that much like a heavy diesel pickup, but has a playful Abarth sound to it too.

@earnest... Yes, take it to a muffler shop and have them cut off the muffler and replace that section with a straight pipe. Sounds great! We love it.

hell, the whole thing comes off with ease, just a couple of clamps and two hangers. Took me all of 30 minutes to do a resonator delete in my driveway.

@Rich
I will ask my husband. Our muffler is being used to prop up a kayak in the spare room. Where are you located?

Wyoming. And thats a funny use for the muffler. You upgraded or retired it?
Retired it. We have a straight pipe now, sounds so much better! Wyoming is pretty far, I guess...:(
