So i bought my 2017 Jeep Renegade new and thought i was lucky as some of my Rene friends were having fan wobble and transmission issues.
I experienced transmission issues and was told right along that there were no issues, hard slamming when switching into reverse from park, hesitation in the gearing and that knocking into gear and was told that was normal for this transmission, until the coil pack went completely bad... that morning i brought it in as i was loosing total power driving down the parkway at 65+ mph and when they road tested it not going above 45 i was told they couldnt do anything till the check engine light came on, to put 93 in the car and run it on parkway at higher speeds... then the check engine light came on and they replaced the pack!
Now im out of warranty 87,000
And out of nowhere the egine starts spuddering and i notice the car didnt seem to go past 5th gear. So i went to the auto part store changed the plugs and checked the coil packs with a voltage meter.
Now the Rene runs great nice and smooth no spuddering but still not switching past 5th gear in auto.. i have ro switch into manual to shift into those higher gears 6,7,8,9????
