2015 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk Loud Vibration when heat is turned up

316 Views 3 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  JeepCares
Hey everyone,
I just purchased a 2015 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk. I'm having two issues:

1) When I turn the heat up anywhere past the lowest setting I get a loud vibration sound.

2) Sometimes I feel a slight delay in accelerating when I go from Reverse to Drive. Like it kind of jerks me. It is not a manual.

I know Jeeps can be loud, sometimes klunky, but I want to see what everyone thinks. I'm taking it in Tuesday, back to the dealership.

Welcome!

When you say "turn the heat up," do you mean the temperature? Or the fan speed?

If the fan speed, then I'd guess the fan unit is going out -- bearings, or maybe it got out of balance. New Jeep blower motors are about $205 -- Item 9 here:

I doubt you're going to find any aftermarket equivalents...

But if your dealer is going to cover it... 👍

on your gear change: When going from forward to reverse it takes time for some trannys<auto's> to make the change and if you just move the lever then slam the gas it will jerk. You should wait untill you feel it shift before hitting the gas. This holds for all makes and models....and you should be at a stop before shifting from reverse to forward or visa versa

Hi there! If you continue to experience concerns, we'd suggest a visit to your preferred Jeep dealership for a diagnosis. If you decide to go that route and need support, let us know.
