I just came across the new 2016 Hyundai Tucson, for those of you, like me that are considering the Renegade, HR-V and CX-3, this may be another one to add to the list. Has anyone looked at it yet?

Their freshest offering, the 2016 Hyundai Tucson, may just be the new benchmark in the segment.

The 2016 Hyundai Tucson SUV that goes on sale this month looks like a real threat to the Ford Escape and Honda CR-V's status as the best compact SUVs on the market.

We owned a Tucson in between our 2 Escapes and it was a darn good vehicle. Gifted to my oldest Daughter when she had our Grandson so have a lot of trust in it. I can't really fault them for much, but I can say that it was not as good in the snow as the Escapes. The AWD system seemed to work fine, but the front end seemed to push & slide more than the Ford. My Wife & I are really looking forward to see how the Renny handles in the snow.

The 2016 Tucson is a clean sheet design due in dealerships in the next couple weeks Shares nothing with 2015 or older Tucsons. I am considering it as an alternative. If looking for basic 4wd (Not TH), would seem to work fine. 10 inches longer only, but 12 cu foot more cargo room and better MPH.

The Renegade will not be the first choice for anyone looking for good mileage and cargo space combination. It has the aerodynamics of a small barn door with about as much cargo space as the current Beetle.

It's rated as a sub compact SUV. The MPG is pretty good for an SUV that has a real 4 wheel drive system with a locking differential averaging around 24 Mpg. So I am not sure where you have a valid argument.

Hey everyone, I think the 2016 Hyundai Tucson SUV looks pretty good. I watched several videos and does not seem bad at all plus you can get one loaded for about 33K. I am a proud owner of a new Renegade but thought I would give my honest opinion. I think the Tucson is in the compact category while the Renny is in the subcompact range so actually they dont compete in that way. The Jeep Cherokee would be a competitor (which I also own) with the Cherokee costing more loaded than the tucson. If I did not own the Cherokee and was in the market, I think I would take a look and drive the Tucson and really consider it. Still love my Renny:):)
Thanks everyone:)

Sorry to upset you. I had no idea you were so sensitive. I own a Trailhawk and I'm very satisfied with it.
Everyone has their own reasons for purchasing any vehicle. I would have chosen something else if high gas mileage and a lot of interior space were higher on my priority list. That's all I'm saying.
