2020 Jeep Renegade Rear Cargo Fuse Box Missing

Good morning.
I have seen a few threads involving this situation, but do not think I have seen a true resolution.

My 2020 Renegade rear passenger exterior lighting (blinker, brake, etc) stopped working.
When I engage passenger blinker, it clicks at double speed.
I thought it was a blown fuse and looked in manual for location and type.
It says it should be in the rear cargo location (Fuse Box #3).
When I looked there, it is not there. I have seen others say that they have the same situation.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Welcome!

The turn indicator on the dashboard flashing fast can mean a burned-out bulb, or that the turn signal bulb isn't working at all. In your case, since none of the tail lights on the passenger side are working, it's the latter -- along with all the other bulbs.

I'm not sure where you're seeing a fuse for the tail lights. My 2021 Owner's Manual doesn't; in fact there's no "Fuse Box #3." There are up to two fuse holders (boxes) behind the left-side cargo panel; only one if you don't have a trailer package. No tail light fuses there.

To confirm, my 2018 wiring diagram for Exterior Lights shows that all the wires for the tail lights come directly from the Body Control Module -- no fuses in-between. (The BCM itself is protected with fuses.)

So it's not fuse(s).

Could be a bad connector to the tail light bulb holder, or a bad bulb holder itself. Worst case, could be a bad BCM.

Of course, your 2020 Renegade's bumper-to-bumper warranty has expired. To save money going to a dealer, an good independent shop (with good diagnostic equipment) may be able to help.

Thanks- Very helpful- I assumed that the Rear Passenger Exterior Light fuse in the rear cargo area (which I do not have) referred to that.
I ordered a new taillight assembly and should get it today. I believe this all occurred when one of my son's friends slammed something (bat, stick, etc) and cracked the entire casing. I will let you know when I replace it.

You're very welcome.

I assumed that the Rear Passenger Exterior Light fuse in the rear cargo area (which I do not have) referred to that.
I still don't see where you're seeing that. I did a word search through my 2021 Owner's Manual, and no such info. Specifically there's no "Fuse Box #3"; either in the manual nor in the vehicle. And of course no fuse(s) for the tail lights.

I ordered a new taillight assembly and should get it today.
Yeah, if the housing was damaged, then that's most-probably the issue. Please let us know.

So I was confused. It says in the manual there is a 1 and 2 fuse holder in the rear cargo spot.
Yeah, no. That fuse holder (#2, not #3) is only there if you have the OEM trailer package.

I'm not sure what the F5 and F6 fuses protect if you have that fuse panel -- I assume it's lighting on the trailer. The controller, not the bulbs themselves. Or maybe both...
