I admire you for taking the time and effort to destroy your wheel arch, sorry to amend the structure around your wheel.

For me really chunky tyres look excellent when fitted properly and in proportion to the wheel arch. There have been many outstanding alterations made over the last few years that I have been here. This isn't doing it for me at all. Hey, I understand, each to their own and if you are happy then I am happy.

Keep posting the pictures, its how we all learn.
i wanted a true M/T tire, and this was the smallest i could find without going to a 17" wheel for another $5-600. as far as "destroying the wheel arch" goes, its behind the fender liner, so its never going to be seen anyways. does the tire fill the wheel well more than i would like? yes. does it rub? no. you would need square wheels to be proportionate to the square wheel wells that the renegade has.

Trev, you are demonstating great tenacity in overcoming issues with the Jeep and I believe that's what makes the baby Jeep such an exciting model.

Cost wise? I don't blame you for finding a work around. Just don't mention it when selling the Jeep :p:D

Keep the pictures coming.

tires are installed! i need to take them to get balanced now, but they are on and dont rub at ride height with ZERO lift! they sure are noisy on the road, but the traction is the most important thing for me. another benefit is the increase in gearing. it doesnt blow right through the first couple gears as bad now. very happy with the tires!

this picture is of the front right tire at the closest point with the jeep positioned like the second picture.

got them balanced and she rides nice now. figures i had the worst balanced tires in the front, they both took 4oz, so they got put on the rear. explains the steering wheel shaking i had. so happy with these!

well, one year and about 10k miles later and the fronts are about 2mm away from the wear bars. doesnt help that the road i take to work is NOTHING but TIGHT corners that i like to take at speed...... just ordered a set of gerneral grabber atx tires in the stock size for my renegade. hoping to get a little pep back with the smaller tires. also, with the amount of wear i have on these tires, they are starting to understeer around corners more now, which i am NOT a fan of. i did not want to go into winter with such little amount of tread left. pics will be posted when the new tires are installed.
