Hurray! You made it to 500 miles. Let us know how your Renegade is doing and if you needed any unscheduled maintenance or repairs. Help out your fellow forum members, and fill out the poll. Make a post, and summarize your tale of joy or woe as well.

I had a service 4x4 light come on for a few minutes followed by service engine light. The lights both went out after turning the vehicle off and on a couple of times. I got it checked out and the conclusion was that the negative battery cable was loose. They cleared the codes and tightened the cable and I have had no other issues. It really wasn't that big of a deal to me. If I am going to have some issues, I would prefer to have them now rather than later. I have 1800 glorious miles now and I love it!!!

I'll tell you what I think, others will probably disagree.

1) I think it has an issue rate higher than most vehicles, but given the state of vehicles these days That means 2-3 issues.

2) I think the higher issue rate is mostly going to be mostly due to process issues. Most cars in the upper half of reliability, the issues are usually just early part mortality (nothing is 100% perfect 100% of the time) and assembly oopses. I think on top of that FCA brands have to deal with the rushed and poorly thought out deployment of the vehicle. Forum members very easily see how odd it looks in the buying process, but it probably causes as many issues with regard to running the assembly line and managing the supply chain from vendors.

3) I think that on top of that, the ZF 9 is a weird transmission, and while differences in the design of the drive train between the cherokee and renegade likely means less people unhappy with it, I think there's just a certain contingent of the driving population that is going to be unhappy with it. In terms of actual failure, it's not doing worse than the industry as a whole.

4) As fallout form #2 , you then have to deal with the issue of satisfactory resolution. A very new vehicle like this is going to have parts supply issues, and in this day and age probably need a software update or two, but with the FCA rushed rollout, and the FCA lean parts supply pipeline even without the rollout, it may take more visits to get your stuff sorted out either because the cart is getting ahead of the horse on software issues outpacing patches, or because you are waiting on parts longer than you would with another brand.

Took delivery June 2nd and so far been back to the dealer 2 times for key fobs and still waiting for another set to come in. Dealer re-programed the new key fob then the original one doesn't work. ordered another key fob and the same thing happened new one programed and old one doesn't work. Now the dealer has ordered 2 new key fobs and I'm still waiting.
Upon delivery the Renegade emblems were different on the right side versus the left side along with the Trail Rated 4x4 emblem. (It is a FWD) emblems replaced.
Been in the dealer for no YELP app in the radio and the dealer didn't even look at the problem, have been in contact with the U-Connect support and told to take it back to the dealer to open a STAR case and have them reprogram the radio, as there is a missing/corrupt jar file.
I'm also missing the emergency tool ( the little 90 degree tool) to remove the steering column cover.
I know that these are minor problems, but give me a break, it has only been 3 weeks and only 560 miles.

Went over the 500 mile mark on my way to work today. All good with my Trailhawk, aside from a minor turn signal issue dicussed elsewhere in the forum where the signals sorta get "stuck" on. Nothing major.

Rolled 500 miles today. Purchased on Monday. 80 miles each way daily commute. I have had no problems, not even a hint of a problem. I have an Orange TrailHawk.
That's a heck of a commute! My round trip is about the same as one way for you.
