I'm wondering if anyone is still using the stock little air compressor that came in the vehicle emergency kit or if they've upgraded? What are we usually airing our tires down to when going off-road/hitting the trails? Has anyone found a spot to install a built-in compressor? I know there's not a lot of space for stuff like that...

My stock compressor is starting to die so i'm thinking of replacing it with one of the following:

Check out this video. Quite a unique place for an air compressor. This fellow has done a lot of mods to his Renegade.
I still use my compressor that came with the Renegade, it does ok for my needs. My off roading is an occasional drive on the beach but if I were to do more of it or decided to try some off roading I would upgrade to something better. But for now the standard compressor is fine.

That is quite the setup, I really think the way he routed/stores his hoses is a brilliant idea that i hadn't thought of. Thank you for sharing this.

He did a great job in the installation of the compressor. I have found a lot more of interesting videos regarding mods to Renegades. I suscribed to his channel a while ago (plus some others) and he puts out some nice videos. He recently went to Moab with a bunch of other Renegades and I am waiting for his videos to come out.

That's neat, but $600 is a bit on the pricey side.

I've been happy with my superflow compressor. I've had it for more than a decade at this point IIRC.

I have a full sized spare but for off-roading I use a ViAir compressor. Great value and works well.
