Battery charge

Renegade owners... what does your battery charge notification on the dashboard say?

Mine is pretty much always less than half at 13.2 V. Sometimes, after a REALLY long drive (like today - 4 hours) I can get it up to 14 V. Is mine dodgy, or is this normal?

Thanks in advance!

It's possible that your battery might be on its way out.

If you want to get it tested, ask your dealer or a shop that tests batteries to do a load test.

Sounds normal to me. Fully charged battery is typically 12.5V and above. Makes sense that it is 14V after a long drive. Anything below 12.5V you'll have trouble starting the car.
Is there a issue

I have just noticed the issue after taking my car in for other issues. The dealer told me they had to charge the battery today.. I have just driven 1500miles in 2 days battery level varies from 13.2 to 12.4 when driving it never seems to hit 14v
If the alternator is going it should read 14.sonething. If it's just straight battery, it should read 12-13 ish.

That's the actual electrical expectations for a 12v automotive system. What the display actually says I haven't checked thoroughly. I get high 14s while driving.
Do you have your vehicle back now, Sandpit? If so, what did the dealership say regarding your battery and the other concerns you brought it in for?
I have about 14.6 volts when driving. Haven't checked what it reads with engine not running.
It's a good idea to cross check those readings with a known good multi-meter. The simple
gauges on the dash may not be accurate.

My 1.4 reads steady at 14.7 when driving.
