Jack

The Renegade was repaired last Wednesday. The dealer had the clips in stock afterall, were in a wrong parts bin. Anyway good to go and thanks for checking in

Thanks for the update, I'm happy to hear this has been taken care of!

Jack,

Yes, but it took them 2 months overall to install my hitch receiver right. Excuses from; first time they did it so mistake happens, need to order special tools, wrong parts ordered, wrong parts delivered, parts on back order, technician absent, etc.
I was already dealing directly with the service manager, parts manager, general manager, and the owner but still all these incompetency on there part is unbelievable and their dealership has a 5 star rating from chrysler.
Thank you for the update. I'm glad your concern was resolved, but I'm very sorry to hear you had such a poor dealership experience. Please feel free to PM me any further info, as we do have an internal process for documenting and reporting dealership experiences (both positive and negative).

I have an issue where the trim along the bottom of my rear passenger window is coming off of the door on my Trailhawk! Also, the level that is used to adjust the back of my drivers seat seems to have broken and no longer works. Thankfully it appears to be locked in place where it was set to, so hopefully it doesn't collapse on me while I'm driving!

I really think FCA was under imnense pressure to get many Renegades assembled in a short period of time for several world markets. I think overall the build quality is good taking my first sentence into consideration. I had the problem with the door trim but the rest of the vehicle seems as if it was assembled very well. I imagine once the first push is through, build quality and consistency will get better with time as the pressure to push vehicles out to meet market demand will fall off somewhat.

Going back to the "cladding" coming off. I was hoping it was backed with adhesive so there would be a barrier to dirt and salt getting behind it. So many cars in the rust belt show serious rust in those areas after a few years that I was hopeful the Renegade would be an exception.

I'm not 100% sure how they attached it but if you look at a Pontiac Aztek, the lower part of the body is covered with cladding and I've never seen one with serious rust there. That's noteworthy because the Aztek was last made in 2005.

Has anyone has issues with the black side trim/moulding coming off? I had a piece on the right rear door pop partially off. Turns out there are 2 broken clips and the trim adhesive eventually gave way. I have not had it repaired yet but just curious if this has been an issue?
YeeeS indeed man o man kicking myself in the behind the sunroof issue a s then I I noticed that too, the oil consumption what more do I have to deal with 🙄...

You only deal with what's wrong and not what MAY!! go wrong otherwise you will never drive any vehicle.

The baby Jeep you drive is fine. Mine has had literally no issues of note and I have had it from maybe 3 months old in 2015.
