Will the 2016 THs have an option for body color roofs? I really like that so much better than the black but I have to have a TH because I must have the black leather/red trim interior. Must have a retracting sunroof too.

Black roof is standard on the Trailhawk. There is no way to get it with body color.

Also, the sunroof only comes in black, so both My Sky panels will be black and of course the edge above your doors next to the My Sky panels will be black too.

not with mysky but the limited can be had with a body color roof at no extra charge though good luck finding one like that as the black roof comes standard and your paying for it lol $500 option included in the price lol where body color is standard on sport and latitude without mysky
I sent my dealer an extra 200 miles to get me a Limited with a black roof instead of a body color roof. There were three Limited's in Commando closer that all had the body color roof but if I'm going to spend the money I'll get exactly what I want. I like it so much better.

That's so funny how we all have different tastes. I too thought of getting the TH and just painting the roof rails body color but it would look funky if it is made of a different material. I would just get the limited but I want the black leather/red trim interior which only comes with the TH. Was hoping the 2016s would have body color roof options for the TH. Now to decide??
Where is your source for that info? Go to Jeep.com and go through the configurator. While black is standard, body color roof is a no-cost option.

Not on the Trailhawks, you can not get body color roofs. It's in the color brochure, it is not an option.

Yes, it is. I just checked it out last night and it does let you choose body color roof on a TH with the sunroof but when you look at the brochure body color roof is standard on the Sport & Latitude and optional on the Limited but not available on the TH. Black is optional on the Latitude and standard on the TH and Limited but not available on the Sport. Unless the brochure is wrong but I've yet to find a TH with body color roof rails.

I think the brochure is wrong. Here's why. I work in advertising and have worked on 3 different automotive accounts. Brochures and all printed materials require a long lead time and are worked way ahead of an actual vehicle launch; when finalized information isn't available.* And because of the nature of the printing business, printing is done in batch quantities. It is very expensive to make changes on the fly. Cost for correcting mistakes can be on the order of tens of thousands of dollars. People have gotten fired over such things.
Websites on the other hand can be corrected easily on the fly. All it takes is for a web developer to edit the HTML file or place a corrected image on the web server. Take what you see in printed marketing materials with a grain of salt. And, more often than not, read the fine print. There are usually disclaimers about how the information may not be correct or up-to-date.
In the past, on this forum, I've been told many times that body colored roof is available upon request for THs.
*When I art directed all of the images for the then new '13 Mazda CX-9 I didn't even have a car available for the photo shoots. A co-workers older car was used on location to reference tire placement (that's right, Mazda didn't even give us a loaner car from their corporate fleet). Everything was CG'ed and retouched. Many of the interior and instrument panel details were communicated through email or a spreadsheet from Japan. There were even times where no information was available and Mazda Japan would just tell me it's just like the current model... then myself and the product specialist would borrow a co-workers CX-9, crawl all over it to take cellphone pics to send to our CG guys in Detroit for reference.

I contacted my dealer. I am about ready to order a 2016 Trailhawk with MySky retractable and want body color roof. You are all right, the brochure does contradict the price and build. He is going to check it out but I'm pretty sure you CAN get body color roof on the Trailhawk. Thank you all for your input! I'm so glad I asked because I had assumed I could not get it and really wanted it. NOW, I wish you had a choice of wheels and grille. I might have to trade off with someone to get the grille I want and wheels. This picture is not a Trailhawk but it gives you an idea what a body color roof with MySky looks like.

It's a personal choice, but I can't imagine getting a Trailhawk with a body-color roof. The black sets it apart from every other vehicle on the road, and ties it genetically to it's big brother the Wrangler (standard soft top, obviously.)
I believe it also pairs well with the decal, dark wheels, and other trims / appearance items.

Are we sure the black roof is even paint? Its not often an OEM actually masks and paints anything with an exsposed edge in different colors. If its a sticker its possible some time with a heat gun and some clay may just make your roof body colored...
