This shows how this city SUV has some great potential when doing a little escape to the country.

Sorry about the potato recorder.

I understand that many people "accept" the diesel option, especially the ones who tried diesel engines in europe and saw all benefits, the low fuel consumption for example, the torque at low revs.

But overall, the americans don't like diesel engines, that's why Jeep didn't offer the option i suppose. The Cherokee has the same diesel engine in europe and it's not available in US as well.

I had a 1982 Toyota pickup with a diesel. It got 40+mpg. At the time, diesel was 77 cents a gallon and cheaper than gas. It pulled my heavy bass boat just fine and in 5 years the only thing I replaced was the $5 fuel filter.

I would have bought a diesel Renegade if it were offered in the USA.

Maybe FCA will introduce in U.S.A. the new 2.2 diesel that they started to install in the Cherokee this month.

Here a little bit of red mud for the brazilian Jeep Renegade Sport 4x4 diesel (with 9 speed automatic gearbox).

Mud is a very difficult element to cross always... tyres but also weight and driver ability makes a huge difference.
For example: a Fiat Panda 4x4 Cross

I love that Panda. It is just too small for me.
