Decided to take a few days off after I bought my Trailhawk to take her out to Big Bend National Park. The girlfriend was a little weary on the primitive roads but the Trailhawk handled it like the trail rated girl she is, no problems. Only incidence of note was that i had the seats down and it was absolutely crammed with all my camping gear. Definitely need to get a roof rack on her ASAP. :D

Great trip pics, thanks for posting.

What where the deepest ruts or largest rocks you were able to take her through? How did she handle those?

The most difficult trail in BBNP is the Black Gap Trail. ( the real difficult trails are in Big Bend State Ranch next door to BBNP) The most difficult part of the trail is going through the actual gap at a place called "The Steps" I didn't take a picture but here's a shot of it I found on the interwebs. The Renegade did great going up it and through out the whole trail climbed up and down several 8 inch rocks. I did set her on her nose a bit entering a deep wash but that was on me taking a poor line and was able to back up and ease her through just fine. Started getting short on time so I didn't really take as many pictures as I'd like to have.

Big Bend is on my bucket list and I'm stoked that the Renegade passed that test though I do think our FWD Latitude would NOT handle that trail.

Great pictures.

Man I wish I had trails like that near me! Most of the areas I experience are muddy/ swampy. Looks awesome, I will have to give the trails a shot on my travels!
