Another one from Canada: http://www.autonet.ca/en/2015/02/24/winter-driving-in-quebec-is-fca-approved

Two quotes from the review:

This is the first opportunity for anyone to test the youthful-looking Renegade in winter conditions, and it passes every test with flying colours. Once in snow mode (one of five customized settings), the aggression with which it forges through the slalom and icy course is thrilling, and I have to admit, it puts a sinister smile on my face. The Renegade in Trailhawk trim, which has a best-in-class 4x4 Trail Rated capability according to Jeep, allows it to be pushed to the extreme on the off-road course. The seamless transition between 4x4 and 4x2 is instantaneous and unnoticed by the driver for that extra balance when needed.
[...]
Not only can it rise over some steep and narrow inclines and valleys, it's able to weave its way around thanks to its rapid precision handling. Despite the obstacles of the off-road, the Renegade is true to its name, accomplishing everything with a no-care attitude while staying composed and balanced. If you're adventurous and looking for a vehicle to throw around, the new Renegade will feel like a present from heaven.

ya that's my big hang up as well. i LOVE this car. my wife LOVES this car. !!WHAT!!? that's a first. we both love it for different reasons but we agree that it is absolutely perfect for us.

but its pricey. i think there is a lot of "car" here, its not like you can fairly compare it with the Soul or escape.. its not comparable. i'm having a hard time though.. is the car is worth what it is sold for.. or is it a bit pricey?

. . . is the car is worth what it is sold for.. or is it a bit pricey?
We'll only know that once we strart driving them. Our friends across the Atlantic seem to be pleased.

The car is built with high strength steel in key locations and uses cavity foam in critical areas. This adds to the cost but can make the car much more sturdy. Are the competitor cars made this well? If not, then the Renegade will be worth the extra money.

The Chrysler representative sais "agressively priced"

Ummmmm did he visit Jeep.ca :)
Better yet, does he even understand the segment this sits in and segments closely related to it, with that in mind, there's a much better understanding of how the Renegade slot itself in among the rest.

Another reason why I tend to stick to the bigger publications :D

Aggressive? I'd say the moved straight to outright hostile. badum-tum-tish. I'll be here all week.
The interest rates were either reduced on jeep.ca or they were simply wrong and they fixed them on the website. Yet, the vehicle in its valuable trim(s) is still pricey for what it is I think...

Until now, for that same amount of money they ask for a Trailhawk I can get a fully equiped Rogue SL for my needs...

Today I was at my dealer here in Montreal for oil change but the Renegade wasn't there yet...
