Mine jerks going into drive and surges when creeping in driveways, drive throughs and traffic. The tranny was fine when new, then at about 800 miles I noticed something all over the back. Turned out to be tranny fluid. They put a gasket in and gave it back to me I was 80 miles from home. Driving it home it was really strange hard to control steering and the tranny was pulling all kinds of stunts, compare it to riding a bucking bronco, and made noise similar to landing gear coming up in a jet. I nearly just parked it on the freeway and called them to come and get it. Dealer I took it to in my home town put 6 quarts of tranny fluid, yes 6 quarts. Connected the ground strap for the power steering motor and applied a bunch of updates. It has been acting as you all describe every since, has seemed to settle down after about 2,000 more miles, but it vibrated like crazy when in gear stopped. Just now I noticed they also didn't put the screws back in the chin skirt, tightened those up, vibration gone (for now anyway). At least they covered my first month payment for me. What bothers me the most is the get used to it, they are like this attitude, telling me I need to learn to like it basically. If it was like this when I test drove it I would not have bought it. Hope this thing works out, it's a great idea for a Mini SUV, I got rid of my Civic Si for this, would like to be happy about that.
