Maybe see if you can order the Tonneau Cover from the dealer?Does anybody know of any kind of cover for the luggage area? I don't exactly like the idea of all my stuff exposed.
Ugh, that would stink but I'll see what they say tomorrow.I know for my Trailhawk, there are embossed circles where the tonneau cover anchors attach, but they will have to be cut out (or drilled) to install the anchors.
The parts alone for adding the tonneau cover after the fact are several multiples of the $75 configuration charge. I've got a set on order now to know for sure. For $75, the Tonneau cover is a great deal.
That's actually a great point. My dealer has gotten 4 Renegades in and not one had it, and I've not seen anyone on any youtube videos or dealer videos have one either. Just another thing that didn't make it in the first batches.I haven't seen it on any vehicles at dealers. Does anyone else know if the first batch shipped over was equipped with any?
You don't get these in US?In Europe they have all the cover like this (most if not all the cars in Europe are sold with luggage area cover).

We call it a parcel shelf in UK, every car comes with one. I usually remove it though and it only goes back on when I'm trading the car in for new.
Yeah, but not ideal. We hike a lot and often have stuff in that area if we're doing a non-camping overnight. Where we live and sometimes hike it's not a good idea to leave anything visible in the car.The darkened rear windows (except on the Sport) will help to hide any cargo. At least the darkened windows will make items less obvious.
All my VW hatchbacks and my volvo wagon came with these and it's a little annoying that the Renegade doesn't. It didn't even enter my mind when looking at the car, unfortunately...You don't get these in US?

Yeah, I see what you mean. My sales guy just told me that I can install it myself, but I'm not entirely sure he knows what he's talking about yet...$75 is if you order the cover as an option before the car is built.
I don't know what's involved with installing the anchor points in a car that doesn't come with the cover. In my Trailhawk, the area where the anchor points go need to be cut or drilled (in the plastic cargo panels). I can only assume there are threaded holes in the metal bodywork behind the plastic panels to screw the anchors in to.
lol yeah definitely the biggest problem with the Renegade is the dealer's lack of knowledge on it right now. That's why ya gotta come here for help!My sales guy just told me that I can install it myself, but I'm not entirely sure he knows what he's talking about yet...
