OK. Theirs been over a dozen catalytic converter thefts in my community over the last week. Thieves drive up and park next to a SUV and can cut out a cat in under 20 seconds.

Any way to add protection? Esp to a Renegade ? Am not sure what cats are there now.

If that cylindrical can is the cat, then no. And the cat will need airflow.

This is a pic of the Trailhawk and I dont believe the 2.4 has manifold cats. Though it does look like it may lend itself to bolt-up heavy duty screen.

And BTW it looks like the TH gets forged aluminum Lower Control Arms and not the double-wall steel LCAs of the 4x4. At least in this early pic.

That looks like a flex joint to me.
