You know, the opinion bits don't bother me. Subjectively, the idiot who wrote that article can think the Renegade is ugly, I disagree but that is my opinion. When actual factual bits are wrong, it really discredits the writer. According to Eddy Hall (the writer of this POS article), "The Renegade will be unveiled in December this year before getting mass-produced for the global market next-year," which a quicky Google search would have shown him was wrong before he hit publish.

Jeep will be launching an all-new Renegade next year but it has failed to get the consumers pumped up for it. The Renegade is built to conquer the mini-SUV segment but for the masses, it is nothing more than carbon copy of the Fiat.

Regardless of what the world thinks, Jeep won’t be backing out from releasing the Renegade. The company’s manager, Becky Blanchard, revealed that the Renegade will be the smallest and lowest-priced Jeep vehicle. Furthermore, it will look to cater the first-time car buyers.

When the Renegade gets released, it will be competing with the likes of Chevrolet Trax, Kia Soul, Buick Encore and the market dominator, Nissan Juke. Just by the looks of it, the Renegade stands no chance to even be on the same platform with its rivals.

On the other hand, the Renegade will offer an AWD system which is the only hope it has to compete in the segment.

The Renegade will be unveiled in December this year before getting mass-produced for the global market next-year.
This is a terrible article, but obviously this is written without any regard for journalistic integrity. I don't think it is accurate at all. Is this message being touted by any other media outlets?

The whole "market doesn't want it, they are doing it anyway" thin is something that cropped up on pacific rim click farm auto sites. I've seen it three places at this point, same basic phrasing, no content to back it up. No stats, no numbers, no anecdotes, not even attributing it to disgruntled "it's not a wrangler so jeep is dying it's the WAAAAAAHpocalypse" types.

I've noticed some very..questionable... articles floating around when you do a Google news search for "Jeep Renegade"

Many of these articles are identical with different titles. It's clearly click bait. Problem is anyone searching for the latest European reviews will be seeing these pop up on Google. I wonder if FCA is doing anything to combat them?

I've noticed it too, from the same three sites (which I highly recommend not visiting to boost their numbers)

motoringcrunch

autoomobile

airherald

all have the same "Renegade continues to move forward despite poor popularity" blah blah blah. They are click-bait. Period.

I seen the shape of the Jeep Renegagade as it was different to all the other cloned cars out there and wanted it. No need to look up the details for me. (y)(y)(y)
Me too. so many cars have the same, probably the best compromise all around, shape. Then there is the different looking renegade. I can find mine in a sea of crossovers.
