I have had a very slow coolant leak since I owned the 2017 latitude 2.4 ltr. It has increased so I bought dye and put it in the coolant tank yesterday. I let the engine run for at least 20 minutes while checking all over the engine, head gasket, hoses, under the engine around water pump, thermostat etc. No sign of leak. The oil dip stick is clean - no carmel foam gunk. I filled the coolant tank halfway,

between Min and Max, just above tank seam.
Since yesterday I drove around 50 miles. I checked the whole engine again. I found on the bottom of lower radiator hose a drop of coolant and a trail going part way up the hose so it is was dripping on the hose from somewhere else and running down. (No picture)
Then I started looking around the coolant tank tank. I could see a couple drops that came out out of overflow (picture). I looked at the tank and you can see on the inside the drops that shot up the overflow and coolant on bottom outside lip of overflow (picture).
I then saw something else. There is a plastic splitter that the bottom hose from the coolant tank goes into and splits into 3 other hoses. With a mirror and the UV light you can see on the bottom of the splitter, splitter side of the hose clamp there is seepage (picture).

Questions:

Is the tank bad or the cap? It's always been under pressure when I open it. Coolant temp always running between 187 and 192 depending on acceleration. Should I just play it safe and get a new tank and cap instead of just a cap?

As far as the hose seepage, doesn't this mean the cheapy shoddy hose clamps they use is failing and I need to replace the clamp? The hose is probably fine, right?

Thanks

I ended up replacing the hose clamp with a standard worm screw type hose clamp. I also replaced the the coolant reservoir and cap with a new one.
Now I have a question about bleeding air from the system.

I'm going to add my $0.02 from my experience. I too had a very slow leak from very early on, if not day one. I too struggled to find it. The answer came with time. The overflow tanks is the source of the problem. It's Just not built properly. Where the top part of the mold and bottom part of the mold are supposed to be fused is slowly separating and leaking. After a point, despite it never getting below minimum, I decided to keep on top of it in the warm weather and keep topping it up to at least the half way point. I now have a bunch of coolant crystals growing at the seam.

Also the tank has changed part numbers at LEAST three times and is still hard to find in stock. I've just ordered a 3rd party replacement, because they can't be worst than the lowest bidder OEM purchasing choice on this apparently.
Thanks for the input.
I too thought I should get a non-oem tank thinking that it could not be worse. I ended up getting an OEM hoping they fixed the issue. My coolant seems to still be going down slowly. I want to let it idle and crawl under it again, but it is cold and snow here and I'm not motivated to look yet. I keep hoping there was air in the system from leaking before and it is slowly being replaced by coolant and that is why. I have looked several times with UV light since the work I did and not seeing any drips, but it could have blown off I suppose. So need to look after it sets and idles in one place.
