Jeep has teamed up with a company called Garage Italia Customs to give us a couple of its Renegade crossover SUV models with a unique look for the Montreux Jazz Festival. The unveiling took place on the 4th of July and even if you think the Renegade isn't a real Jeep, you'll like these twins.

They were created under the watch of Lapo Eduard Elkann, a New York-born Italian entrepreneur, and former Fiat marketing manager. The styling is meant to resemble classic electro-acoustic guitars.

Nine different layers of paint and three distinct colors had to be used to make the Renegade look like a rock star. One is burgundy red while the other is orange, and we think even Jimi Hendrix would like one.

Somehow, the orange one reminds us of the Hummer H2. It's probably not intentional, but America is going to love it anyway.

Custom interior are also part of this transformation, equipped with bespoke leather trim and black denim accents. Why can't all Jeeps have that? They also used Foglizzo colored leather for the seat inserts, the central tunnel, the gear selector and armrest.

We don't know what lurks under the bonnet, but we do know that the US-spec Jeep Renegade is available with two engines, either a 1.4-liter MultiAir Turbo that produces 160 hp or a naturally aspirated 2.4-liter Tigershark with 184 hp. The latter is connected to Chrysler group's latest nine-speed automatic transmission.

About the size of a VW Beetle, the 2015 Renegade can be yours for $18,000. However, you won't be able to buy these specially created, guitar-inspired models at your local dealer. Bummer!

While I think the use of denim on the interior was cool, i dislike just about everything else going on here.
^ This.

When I first saw the exterior images a while back I was like " hmm ok, to each their own" but when the images in this thread showcased the Denim interior I was "Whut!!! Holy Jeans Batman. How come no one else thought of this"
I so much want denim seats now. lol
In a few years it will have that faded look too.
