What I'm really waiting for is a vendor to get some real cojones and produce a nice offroad bumper. The type you can get for other types of Jeeps. I'm sure it'll take some time, but I have no doubt that it will eventually happen
This is what im waiting for as well. If you do any sort of offroading at all, those plastic bumpers will look awful in a few short trips. There are already lots of pics online of guys who have beat them half to death, so metal bumpers to me would be a no-brainer.

The issue is probably figuring out how to tie in the fenderwells and plastic trim on the outside of the fenders to make it all work together and not look hacked up.

It's a shame that it an underwhelming product.

Personally I've not liked the look of the bullbars or winch-capable bullbars that have been released for the Ren' - so far. Not enough to foot the bill for buying one, anyways.

And honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if something that's already been produced might actually fit (maybe with a few hacks and tweaks) our Ren' - there's so many out there already;

I was wanting the Daystar bull bar, but after seeing more pictures of it installed I'm not sure anymore. I was doing some searching a couple months ago and found that ARB makes a full bumper replacement for the Liberty. I emailed and got a fairly quick response back. Basically, if they feel there is enough demand, they will start design and production on one for the Renegade.

Hey guys, newbie here and just got my Renegade 2016 sport 4x4 automatic yesterday and wanted to know how to install this. How do I remove the plastic covers and cut them, as well as how do I mount it? Any help is appreciated, thanks.

JJ is with Madness Autoworks. See their site: www.madnessautoworks.com He just told me that their computer system crashed and it may take some time before they can get things restored so he can then post the pictures.
By drilling it, wouldnt it rust? How would you prevent it, drilled holes in mine and live in ny. Humid at times, curious on how you would prevent it

Just installed my daystar bull bar on my 2017 Latitude. Looks good and I'm glad the job is done - but installation was a PITA! Probably because I was just using a plain straight socket wrench...but those bolts were SO hard to maneuver off and especially back on having to work around the brackets...PHEW! Time for a beer.

Here you go! Putting a couple hella driving lights on it today. Also think I'm going to make slits in the original panel covers and use those as the ones packaged with the bull bar are less than perfect...they only partially cover the opening and don't sit flush.

And here it is with a couple lights mounted - haven't had a chance to wire them up yet, going to hopefully do it this weekend. Also going to plasti dip the light covers black to match the rest of my trim.

Planning on wiring direct to my high beams and skipping a switch altogether. Have watched a few guides and feel pretty good about it but if anyone has any tips I'm all ears!
