It is JJ here from MADNESS Autoworks. We have the all new Daystar Lift Kits for the JEEP Renegade. We were contacted by Daystar today letting us know that they are all missing hardware (the stud bolts and it is Nationwide) to mount them. We are being overnighted the correct bolts for all of our sets. So, if you are purchasing Daystar Lift Kits from your local auto parts store, just know they are missing hardware. Ours will be able to ship on Friday. Just a heads up out there for all of my Renegade guys. If you need anymore info please feel free to hit me up.

The install time is about 6 to 8 hours depending on several options.

If we can ever help, give us a call or e-email us and we will be more than happy to assist!

How does this lift affect the ride and drive of the jeep? I have had many lifts that I have really regretted because of the practicality of it. Since you guys install these how do they perform? Does it sway or feel like it adds body roll etc? Thanks for your help.

JJ, how much would Madness charge for installation of the Daystar kit and would it include alignment?

ps—I'm somewhat local. In Orange County.

Action, it rides very smooth. It is not your traditional super lift lift because you only go up 1.5". It is more like a leveling and centering kit feel. It rides the same as if it wasn't lifted. I have personally not felt the difference other than the height.

Hi JJMadness,

I just wanted to reach out again, after reaching out to the store. I made an online international shipping order for the Daystar 1.5" lift kit and several other items. As your store had good reviews, I elected to order from you. Here are some of the photos of the brackets that arrived. I am not a specialized welder in any way so I was wondering if anyone who is a welder here on these forums can assess these welds. I personally don't feel comfortable mounting these, but the technical specialists at Madness Autoworks said they are good to go and to call Daystar for any further questions.

I can't say that I am not a little disappointed with how the welds look as there are gaps, holes and rust on them from what I can see. Additionally, I paid a lot of money just to ship these items so the expectation was higher that the items might come damaged from shipping than defective. But, who knows, maybe I am in the wrong and these parts are actually good to go.

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

I spoke with the gentleman who was working with you here and he says he is reaching out to Daystar on your behalf to get their feedback on the photo you provided.

I believe he has emailed you back earlier today, so I will leave it to him as he has been on this from the start.
