Open your drivers door on your Renegade all the way, then give it a slight push outwards, watch the hinge that's connected to the body. My body flexes quite a bit with a slight push outwards. Seems flimsy hope it lasts, does yours flex too?

I'm not trying to be a wise guy, but don't do that. It's a unibody car (as most are) and there is always a compromise between strength/rigidity and weight. A little flexing is to be expected in any vehicle if the door is forced open too far.

It isn't the hinges that cause the flex on my cars, The door stop/check does cause a little door
post flex.The hinges have a stop in case the door gets pushed beyond the door stop limits.
Sometimes when the door is opened in windy conditions as we have here today the wind
may pull the door check more thanusual, I assume that is why the hinge stops are there.
