So, while cleaning my new toy, I came across this little button

I'm not sure what it is. It's right below the headlight switch.

Any ideas??

I need to go anyway, the phone hangup button isn't working...

Maybe that's the hang up button that they installed for some weird reason?

Might be, but then why have a hangup button on the steering wheel?
I thought it might be an emergency call button, but pressing it doesn't seem to do anything.
It just flashes blue...

Maybe that's the roadside assistance button for the Europeans?? Weird placement of a phone button.

I thought the Emergency / Roadside assistance button was on the upper middle console on both the US and European versions. If so then that button is a mystery. There is nothing in the US or Spain manuals that indicate what that button could be.

If pressing it and it flashing blue I would think it is trying to establish a Bluetooth signal from a phone (thus the phone icon on the button) but then it again it could be for something else.

I wondered the same thing, so I pressed away - nothing seemed to happen.
No wings popped out, no helicopter blades popping out from the roof, no jet engines unfolding from the back - no even a sexy auto-pilot got inflated (think Airplane movies for that reference)...

It just flashes blue no matter what. Car on, car off, phone near, no phone - didn't matter.

I love a mystery.....

Got an answer: It's the vehicle tracking system.

I guess I need to call MOPAR to get it activated/transferred to me....

A little more info on my now not-so-mystery button.
It is for the EVTS, which I got registered to me last night.
It's kind of like On-Star, the phone button is a panic button - you press it and they call your phone (that is *if* you pay for their additional service).
The basic package is just a tracker if your car is stolen.

From what I was told, it's all mine. If I sell the Jeep, I can remove it and put it in another vehicle.

Mine doesn't. I think it is a dealer installed item.
