Well this is an odd one.
2015 1.4T 6MT UK

Monday evening (12th Dec), I went to start the Jeep about 2 hrs after my partner arrived home with it (half hour drive). I needed to get it off the drive as it was blocking in my own car.
Got in and started the car as normal and had the following messages appear;
"Alarm Unavailable"
"Break-in Attempt Detected"

This is 100% not actually happened. But I suspect it's the battery dying causing weird glitches. So I turned car off, locked it and unlocked it etc got back in and tried again. No warnings at all.

Press handbrake release button.... nothing. (foot is on brake). No message on dash, nothing. Repeat process several times. Can't move car.

It's important to note that we always manually apply and release handbrake, just out of habit from owning "normal" brake cars.
Try driving the car off, brake doesn't release. Turns out you need to have your seatbelt on for it to function, which is fair enough.

So the car is now movable and you just have to ignore the switch and let it release itself and apply when you turn off car.

Anyone experienced this before? If you press the switch without foot on brake, you don't get the warning of "press brake" etc. The switch also has it's little LED lit up to say its on.

Pretty certain it's not!

Because the brake actually functions as it should. As in car puts the brake on and off by itself OK. Just does not register that you pressed the button.

Biggest sign of that is when you press button without foot on brake. And it doesn't complain.
