Engine mount

Hey all, hearing some clunking noises from front passenger side. Visually checked cv , sway bar, end links and they all seem right and ok. Decided to check passenger side motor mount and while it doesn’t visually seem bad, I can push and pull on engine and see the rubber in the mount moving- should that be solid and be moving at all from just me pushing/pulling?

I have a 2015 renegade limited 86k and there is a lot of vibration at idle but was told
By some that’s just “jeep” and the trannies are rough. Just see if anyone experienced similar. I can’t tell if mount is original or not.

If you have the 2.4L engine, then it is most likely the engine mount and the replacements are more substantial. Search this forum and youtube and you will find pictures and videos that show the difference between the old and new. I have a 1.4L turbo and the right side mount was really weak (could move by hand easily). I never found an upgraded mount for the 1.4L but you can buy polyurethane filled mounts or pack it full of 3m window weld to stiffen.
Yeah I have the 2.4. So I probably shouldn’t be able to rock the engine and see a little movement in that engine mount? I found a bunch of off brand ones and then the mopar brand which is considerably more

If you have a 2.4l on a 2015, and have not replaced the motor mounts, you need to replace the motor mounts. The original design was garbage, and that is being unkind to garbage.

No idea if they are original- but at least will replace passenger side for now since that’s the easiest
Also does anyone know of a non- oem brand that would work- oem $$

Take a look at Rock Auto

They have a kit from Anchor, part# 300377, that includes all 3 mounts for around $140.00.
Right side mount from Anchor part# 3487 $47.80.

I just replaced motor mounts and bushings on 2018 2.4l renegade. They should've replaced them with the engine block for the oil consumption recall but they didn't. They wanted to charge $1800 labor & $800 parts. Luckily when I bought it used I purchased an extended warranty that paid for everything.
