I'm from Belgium and here is lockdown for over 4 weeks.
Al shops are closed so I cant buy a obd2 scanner.
I saw that a jeep with a key can check codes without a scanner. (pulling 3 times on and off)
But I do have a start stop system without a key and I cant find a guide.

So is it possible to check the code without a scanner in my model? (2019)

Kind regards.

Hello!

Which engine? Is it in limp mode?

Could be anything. Dirty or badly connected sensor?

Try disconnecting the battery to clear it.

Daniel If everyone starts throwing in faults around 20K kilometres or 15K miles we will all have issues:

  • I had a warning light at 19K and it was a light bulb that was out.
  • There was another fault recently at 20k and I had a nail in the tyre.
  • But don't forget that beep beep beep noise after placing shopping on the passenger seat and forget that noise from not wearing a seat belt.
Apologies for going overboard on reasons why Sad Pepe may have a different issue.

Pepe, Ebay are still posting to Belgium. Why not try that as a solution?

MrSig offers an alternative method that has worked on many a varied occasion and fixed numerous issues. (Try the battery disconnection first ;))

Pepe may I offer you my thanks for teaching me a different way to possibly fix any error code if I should have a problem with my Jeep. So sorry that I cannot afford you the same guidance :cry::cry:

Sad Pepe:Warning light. firstly it could be the cooling fan which has a recall on it.... Get it swapped as its very important and it will stop over heating.... cannot see a mech.go to ebay or Amazon and look for a professional code reader (must have code clearing capabilities), most start at 100$ or local money then when you get your scanner find the codes on line and if minor clear... if serious call your dealer...gudluk Tito Sam
