That's a good point from jeff1. If the Renegade is revving faster after cold-starting (which it very well may be) the exhaust should sound louder until the engine warms a bit.
Also, "really loud" isn't very descriptive.
Do you mean it's rattling? Or the normal sort of sound, just louder?
