First small problem/loose door latch

Today I noticed my drivers side rear door was not closing correctly. I found that the three torque screws that hold the latch in the door were loose. I tightened them down and all is well again. I checked all the other doors and they were fine.

I will check mine tonight to be sure they're tight. Thanks for the heads up.
Thanks for posting your concern and resolution. Hopefully this can be helpful to someone down the line should they encounter the same thing!

Check your outside door handles as well folks. We drove our first Renegade home and when I got out the driver door handle seemed loose. Found I could pull the back triangular shaped piece completely out of the door.

Back the next morning and service dept said two clips inside door were missing and would take a week to get parts. Unacceptable, made the dealer take it back and sell me another, no loose door handles.

Two months later, ..... Just noticed today the passenger side rear door outside handle is very slightly loose, not completely loose like the first Renegade but not solid and snug like the others.

the tow hooks are in front and rear Bumber ... don´t put a rope through the door handles to move your Renegade ... what are you doing with those poor handles?

It's called poor quality control during manufacturing. Not to be unexpected on a brand new model.

Tow hooks and rope? Hmmmmmm.
I wonder if they ran out of blue Loctite?
I found this forum post via Google because I am in need of the Torx screws now. The driver-side passenger door is missing one of the screws and the two remaining had worked their way loose, sticking out about 2 mm. I checked the remaining doors and found that two of the driver's door were loose.

Only one of these screws had a trace amount of Locktite on them, so I had to buy some and then went around an inspected all the doors and the rear lift. What a pain!

Anyway, I now need to buy the missing screw. If anyone has a part number or easy way to find it, please let me know.

Or you know.. it's under warranty. Make them fix it. Yeah if you are in the middle of nowhere, it might cost more in gas, but if you have issues that may extend beyond the screws, they'll probably fix more than the screws. There are a few door lock TSBs in the TSB section.
