Great find! Thanks!

Interesting that the configurator appears to allow the Tow package without forcing the 2.4L/9sp drivetrain. I hope this is correct! My Latitude is pricing out at $25K. I can do that.

Well this stinks, they really limit the options if you want to stick with the 1.4T. The brochure on the Jeep site seemed to indicate that a few of the packages would be available with the 1.4T, but that's proving to not be the case if the configurator is correct. That's really a shame and is a check in the Cons column for us. We didn't realistically expect to be able to get a loaded 1.4T, but at least a couple of the option packages would've been nice. As it stands, it seems you can only get the cold weather package. Anything else requires upgrading to the 2.4/auto combo. Meh.

For certain they will sell very few of these cars at their sky high costs. A Latitude with a few essential options jumps from $21,000.00 to over $26,000.00 before you can say jack rabbit. And it does not even show that you can get a full size spare or a trailer hitch.

These things are way overpriced.

Go to the Latitude 4x4, only $2,000 more and you can add a $495 Trailer Tow Package. Now it is getting really overpriced.

Great find, thanks. It seems that with the Latitude 4x4 you can't get the 9-speaker audio system and the 1.4T/6 speed. :crying:

All I really want in the car is the manual transmission and the upgraded audio system. I can do without any of the other options

Thanks for pointing that out. Don't really need 4X4. But hey I just noticed that if I pay over $31,000.00 for a Trailhawk then I can get ia trailer hitch with that model, which also is a 4X4. Why would anyone want to order 4X4 just so they can get a trailer hitch to plug a bike rack into?

And why no glass sunroof?

These things are going to be a big flop when they get here and no one wants to buy them at their sky high sticker prices.

So as it turns out, I can do the TrailHawk and add remote start and NAV for only several hundred bucks more than a Latitude. The pricing structure is WACKY on this vehicle.

I also don't understand the deal with forcing the 2.4 engine on people who want to add options. The turbo engine makes more torque but less horsepower, the Tigershark makes more horsepower and less torque. But at the end of the day, both engines are virtually identical in power. It's absolutely retarded to offer both...and at the same time if you are going to offer both it's stupid to only allow one with most option groups.

This pretty much seals the deal for me....I'll look at the Cherokee and Wrangler which offer a little more size and resale value for the same initial cost. Still want to SEE a Renegade in person first though.

But maybe after FCA reads some of these posts (they must have somebody reading forums), they might change some of the options available.

Dodge did just that with the 2015 Challenger by offering the high-end audio system in the Scat Pack models 5 months after ordering opened up. Only the 2nd tier system was available on this model at first.

That would have worked for me too, especially if I could also tow 1500-1800 pounds, even with aftermarket hitch. These marketing geniuses really screw the manual transmission shoppers then wonder why the take rate is so low.

There's also the possibility that the configurator logic has not been completed yet and still needs work before it's released. For example, the configurator allows Sierra Blue on the Limited trim, which hasn't been an option in any other U.S. material.
