Very few new cars have fuel filters, if any. All are built into the pump. Not just a Jeep thing. So we never need to replace the fuel filter ever? Or in order to replace the fuel filter we have to replace the entire pump?

Yup. My 3 year old dishwasher stopped working yesterday. I priced out a new pump, it's almost the price of a new dishwasher. If I had to pay someone to do it, I'd have to pay for the service call. Than they would have to get parts, come back and install. I'd be at or above the price of new. Everything is disposable now.Does this surprise you ? Just one more idiotic thing about this (or all modern) engines. Don't perform maintenance, replace with new. Yep, instead of replacing a 2 dollar part on a fuel line that takes 5 minutes, replace a 600 dollar part that requires you to drain and remove your entire fuel tank and take a full day....
