Gas pump overflowing [Fixed - reconstructed the gas tank]

A couple of days ago I was filling up my tank for the first time at about 200 miles into my renegades life.

The pumped started overflowing and spewing out gas viciously. I turned off the pump. Luckily it was raining so i don't think it will affect my paint. I alerted the station employee and he said there hasn't been any problems at that pump.

It smells like gas in my garage even though it's been days. I heard this could be due to some area of my car being flooded with gas? Also my gas gauge has read full and hasn't gone down since the incident.

Any insight would be helpful. Bringing it to the dealer tomorrow. Will keep posted.

Thanks for the help!

Hopefully that's the extent of the problem.

However it did spray all over me (had I been standing right next to it) rather than spilling a puddle. It was a fast stream and stared spraying EVERYWHERE.
Update:

On my way to the dealer this evening my gauge finally dropped 2 of the 12 fuel lights finally turned off.

We'll see what it is. Hopefully it just needed some time to reset.

Another thing I was worried about was when I tried to start my car it made that engine starting sound but didn't start. Tried it again and it started just fine. Then for about 30 minutes into my 2 hour drive the car jolted about 4 times whilst on the highway.
Sorry for the late update. But, they reconstructed the whole gas tank and it works perfectly fine! Have had three fill ups and no problems :)
