I am new to the Jeep world, I picked up my TrailHawk last week and I love almost everything about it, there are a few minor things, but that is on me, not the Jeep.
First of all I wanted to know which is better to do....... Take off the automatic parking brake while the Jeep is still in park or after I shift to drive or reverse or does it matter at all? I never had an automatic brake before so most of the time I never remember, and try to drive off with it still engaged.
Second, when I start the Jeep, on the screen on the dash pops up two ink blots with the word Renegade. Is there any way to make that screen stay on all the time? I don't really care about the 7 or 8 options that I can choose from. I like the pop up and would like that on the screen all the time.

Thanks

This probably won't be of much use to you, but I don't even use the electronic parking brake. I have no use for it, and found it to be very annoying. I believe the user's manual has instructions on how to turn it off.

I'm pretty sure the "Renegade" display stays on longer if you just turn on the ignition (push the button without having your foot on the brake, assuming you have the push-button start), but I don't think you can set it to be on all the time.

Congrats on your new Trailhawk, though. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do mine!

Unless it is different than the European brake (which seems unlikely), you don't have to take it off at all. Just drive away.

Thanks for the info! I was taking the brake off manually every time! I just tried it!
Thanks..... I turned it off so now I don't have to worry about it

Just make sure you have the UConnect option set to automatically disengage the parking brake when you start driving.

I do. I actually set that option on about a week ago and tried it. I guess I wasn't aggressive enough for it to disengage. Works perfectly!
